Audi, a perfect synonym of impeccable style and design, the German auto giant is mushrooming quite swiftly in India.
The company is determined to achieve the growth and use the market in its favor. Audi R8 V10 the super car already is packed with 14 entries and now it is being speculated that the company will come with Audi Spyder (convertible) variant also. The company has already registered one buyer for the car and is searching for more. In March this year, the auto company will add third powertrain option to Audi Q5 the 2.0 TDI diesel engine and is expected to be priced at Rs 42 lakh, (ex-showroom- Mumbai).
Also being considered is the RS5 coupe, the 440 bhp BMW M3 rival that has been a hot topic of discussion for performance car enthusiasts. A Michael Perschke MD Audi India said that the company is looking forward to roll out 30 to 50 cars of the biggie in its first year in India.the car will arrive after it will unfold Audi A7 Sportback in the early June. Audi A7 is likely to be avaialble with 3.0 TFSI and also 3.0 TDI powertrain variants and is expected to be priced at Rs 65 to Rs 70 lakh. The Audi RS5 is speculated to range from Rs 75 lakh to Rs 80 lakh.
The company is expecting a big launch for Audi A6 and as per the close sources it will be around August end or September beginning. Audi will be available in three options 2.8 TSI petrol, 3.0 TFSI petrol and 3.0 TDI quattro. The super savvy car is expected to be priced at Rs 37 lakh and reaching to Rs 48 lakh.
For 2012, Audi is setting its date with the Indian auto market. To beat its arch rival BMW X1 is expected to launch Audi Q3 the compact SUV. Audi S6 sedan based on Audi A6 performance is also in its plans.
