The CODA charging system is one of the safest and can be conveniently charged from home with a 220-volt plug using their special wall unit. It is also provided with a 110-volt mobile connection to enable it to be charged at any standard outlet. The range of CODA is 90 to 120 miles and you no longer have to stop at a gas station again.

Ford Transit Connect Electric

Ford has been in the car industry for a long time and has been able to establish its own loyal customer base. With this electric car, they have diversified their portfolio and have made their presence felt in all segments of the car industry. This fuel new electric car can seat 2,4 or 5 passengers. The rear-slide doors give it a feel of the minivan. It is powered by 74- horsepower electric motors and has a 29- kilowatt-hour battery pack. This best new electric car provides a range of 80 miles and clocks a top speed of 75 mph.
The battery requires 6-8 hours of charging on a standard 240 volt circuit. ABS, traction control, antiskid system, and front-side airbags are some of the safety features of this upcoming electric car. It also sports an in-dash computer which can connect to the internet and also has a printer attached to it.

Mitsubishi iMiEV
Mitsubishi iMiEV is one of the new electric cars that has been recently making inroads into the US markets recently but has been a leader for quite some time in the Japanese market. The car is a four seat and weighs considerably less than any of its competitors. This enables it to use a 16 kWh battery instead of the usual 24 kWh and translates into potential savings for the consumer.
This best new electric car has a 64 horsepower motor with a permanent magnet synchronous technology and can speed up to 80 mph. It has an electric range of 85 miles and can be charged in 6 to 7 hours using a 220 V/ 15 amp facility. Using a 110v/15 amp, will require 14 hours to be charged. This upcoming electric car also comes with the standard safety features and the small size of the vehicle makes it very easier to park and would find large number of takers in crowded cities.
