For the first time, General Motors India has teased the Chevrolet Beat facelift, which is scheduled to make its debut at the upcoming 2014 Indian Auto Expo. The teaser image also comes with a statement- "Style is coming to take the country by storm".
The Beat hatchback was first launched in petrol version only in 2010, however the company introduced the model with diesel version in 2011. At the 2012 Paris Motor Show, General Motors unveiled the Beat facelift which is now available in several European nations. It will have a new front bumper, redesigned grille and fog lamps. The vehicle also features a new set of alloy wheels and restyled rear spoiler.
Inside the cabin, the hatchback gets a new centre console and new upholstery for seats. Moreover, the Beat facelift also has a central rear height-adjustable headrest. The Beat facelift will carryover the same engine mechanics- a 1.2-litre petrol (offered with LPG as well) and the 0.9-litre diesel engine. Power is transmitted to front wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. It is also speculated that the company could also introduce the automatic version of the hatchback.
