Audi sold 15,75,500 cars in 2013. With more than 1 million cars sold last year, the company has shown a 8.3 per cent increase in sales figures as compared to that of 2012.
The German carmaker’s sales saw a boost due to their export counterparts around the world.
The three major contributors saw a considerable growth with China sales increasing by by 21.2 per cent, the United States and UK sales figures have been hiked by 13.5 per cent and 14.9 per cent respectively. December sales itself added 1,30,700 units to the overall figures with a growth of 18.4 per cent in comparison to the previous year.
Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Board of Management at AUDI, said, “We set an important milestone for Audi in the past year. We achieved our intermediate strategic goal of 1.5 million deliveries two years earlier than planned, and in fact comfortably exceeded it. This means that in the past four years alone, Audi has attracted more than 600,000 new customers.”
