The 2014 Indian Auto Expo is around the corner and the carmakers are doing their final preparations to make this event a grand affair. This time, according to media reports, around 15 global debut will take place at the event, and the list of launches and unveiling gets bigger and exciting. Hyundai's Grand i10 is the newest member to join the league of global premieres to happen at the Pan-India auto show.
The 2014 Delhi Auto Expo is around two weeks away; the South Korean auto major is still busy in doing testing the compact sedan in the country. Along-with the Grand i10, the new Santa Fe and the i20 based WRC car will also be unveiled at the Expo. This compact sedan will compete against the likes of Maruti Swift Dzire and Honda Amaze, which has been dominating this segment.
The compact sedan will be made available in both petrol and diesel guise. While the gasoline model is likely to get the 1.2-litre engine producing 82bhp and 114Nm of torque, the oil burner will have the 1.1-litre, 4-cylinder mill the churns out 70bhp of power and 160Nm of torque. Both the engines will be mated to five-speed manual transmission, the petrol engine is likely to get the 4-speed automatic gearbox as well.
