The French automaker, Renault is expected to unveil the Lodgy MPV at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. The company will also unveil the facelift version of Duster, Fluence and Koleos and an all-new concept car at the event. Earlier, it was speculated that Renault will not bring any new product in India this year. If media reports to be believed, it will unveil the Lodgy MPV at the show, which will compete against the likes of Nissan Evalia, Maruti Ertiga and others.
In international markets, the Lodgy is sold under the Dacia brand, however, in India it will get the Renault badge. It will be a 7-seater vehicle, which is expected to be priced around Rs. 7-9 lakh. Thus MPV is expected to share its engine lineup with the Duster, a 1.5-litre dCi and the 1.6-litre petrol. The entry level variants might be offered with a five-speed manual transmission, while the top-of-the line model might have six-speed transmission.
The Lodgy was first unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show 2012 and is expected to make its India debut at 2014 Auto Expo.
