Japanese carmaker Nissan has finally unveiled the Nissan Sunny facelift at the ongoing 2014 Indian Auto Expo. The Sunny sedan has received a handful of updates both inside and out.
The new Nissan Sunny gets an updates front fascia. The sedan features a newly styled grille with three horizontal slats and chrome inserts, that gives it the company's new family look. The headlights have been redesigned and the lower part of the front bumper receives a new set of foglamp. Its new airdams and chrome highlighting beautify the overall appearance of the sedan.
Moving to the side profile, the new Nissan Sunny features a newly designed 15-inch alloy wheel. It also has chrome side molding and ORVMs with LED turn indicators. The door visor has been changed as well. The rear end of the Sunny facelift has also been tweaked and now feature a dual tone effect. The tail lamps has been redesigned and the spoiler now features LED treatment.
Inside the cabin, the Sunny facelift gets the updated central console with a "Piano Black" cluster. Its steering wheel has been redesigned that features the sound system control button. The dashboard and upholstery now looks more upmarket. It now features a redesigned gearshift and adjustable headrest for front and rear seats to offer more comfort when staying inside. The Sunny also gets the refined style of chrome door openers. (The central console features a new 6.1-inch touchscreen DVD player with Bluetooth and navigation.) Its automatic climate control has been newly designed with digital display for all passengers.
Mechanically, the Nissan Sunny facelift remain same. While the petrol version of the sedan gets the 1.5-litre engine that churns out a maximum power output of 97.7bhp and 134Nm of top torque, the diesel model has a 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine producing 84.8bhp and 200Nm of torque.
