Maruti Suzuki Kizashi to be launched in Jan 2011

The most anticipated saloon from Maruti Suzuki is all set to mark its entry in the Indian auto market by launching Maruti Kizashi with a view to give the major luxury segment players a tough time.
The launch of this luxurious dip is an essential move from the company as it will for the first time mark the company's entry in the premium sedan segment. The launch of this sensational model will take place in the end week of January 2011 and will directly gun famous models like Volkswagen Passat, Volkswagen Jetta, Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla Altis and Chevrolet Cruze.
 The company has big expectations from the model and with a sportsman spirit, the company has commented that the car is going to be a learning source for them. Addressing the launch, Mr RC Bhargawa who is the Chairman of Maruti Suzuki said that Maruti Kizashi is a complete package of distinctive looks and high technology and is expected to gain good demand in market. He commented that if nothing huge, at least they will have experience of dealing with the high priced car consumers. He also stated that non acceptance of this model in Indian Auto market will be a surprise for him as the car is built with better features.
The company officials are excited for this launch as a great learning experience is lined up for the company in this segment.

Maruti Kizashi is given a stunning 2.4L petrol engine which is built to give a maximum power of 185 bhp and churn out a beating torque of 230 Nm. The engine with these strong figures, makes the car a strong competitor in the segment. The power source of Maruti Kizashi is mated with a six-speed manual transmission to effectively distribute the power.
The upcoming saloon will not be manufactured in India but will land up from japan as a completely built unit (CBU).
