2014 Skoda Superb facelift may launch at 2014 Indian Auto Expo

Skoda India is all set to launch the 2014 Superb facelift in the Indian car market. The company recently teased the first images of the facelifted Superb on social media including Facebook and Twitter. Earlier it was speculated that the updated saloon will be unveiled at the upcoming Delhi Motor Show and will hit the showrooms by the mid-2014. Now, it seems like the Czech car manufacturer is in hurry and is now aiming to launch the vehicle at the Auto Show.

The reason behind such news is that the company has arranged a media drive on January 13, 2014. With this the new Superb has already been out for media, and we expect it to be launched very soon, most probably at the Auto Expo.

The 2014 Skoda Superb has received changes to both the exterior and interior, which makes it look sportier than before. It now gets a new front facade with a new grille, restyled bumper, Octavia-like bumper, newly formulated headlamps with integrated daytime running LED's. The vehicle also gets a new set of alloy wheels. The rear end of the vehicle features a redesigned tail lamps with LED treatment, restyled boot and the licensing plate is now postioned at the boot-lid. Moreover, the Superb facelift interior also get some subtle changes.
The new Skoda Superb is most likely to carryover the same 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine and the 1.8-litre TSI petrol. The engine will be tweaked to offer high performance and fuel efficiency. If media reports to be believed, the oil burnen offers an impressive fuel economy of 21kmpl, which is around 4kmpl more than the outgoing model.
