Skoda Rapid facelift to come by 2014 end
Skoda India is on a mission to refurbish its whole vehicle lineup and as a part of it, the company launched the next gen Skoda Octavia last year. It is already known that the Czech manufacturer is introducing the facelift versions of Superb and Yeti at the 2014 Delhi Motor Show. Now, the latest developments indicate that Rapid is also going to be presented in an all new avatar by Skoda towards the end of 2014. Moreover, rumor mills are abuzz that company will firstly unveil a special edition 'Ultima' which would be more plush and up-market as far as interiors are concerned.

Skoda India is all set to launch the 2014 Superb facelift in the Indian car market. 2013 Skoda Rapid Specification
Skoda Rapid has been one of the most celebrated vehicles from the eminent house of Skoda. The 2013 European model, previewed by the MissionL Concept, is expected to be the first vehicle to flaunt the new design language, which is a splendid combination of “perfect proportions” and “sharply drawn lines”. All specifications for the luxurious car have been revealed before its launch.Coming to the heart of the car, there would be a few engine trims available for the 2013 Rapid in both petrol and diesel fuel options. The line would include 1.6-litre TDI which is capable of delivering 88bhp of power and 230Nmm of Torque. The same engine will come with a 103bhp power option as well, which would deliver a torque of 250Nm.Rapid will also be available with a 1.2-litre MPI engine which will churn out power of 74bhp and torque of 112Nm. The turbocharged TSI, 1.2-litre engine will come with two power outputs. One will be 84bhp with 160Nm torque and the second power option that the 1.2-litre TSI will deliver is 103bhp of power with 175Nm of torque.Along with this, there would also be a turbocharged 1.4-litre TSI engine delivering a power output of 121bhp and 200Nm of torque. With so many trims, a consumer is sure to get spoilt for choice. The transmission will vary from 5-speed manual to 6-speed manual to 7-speed DSG transmission, basis the engine trim selected. Skoda cars have always been recognized for the comfort that they provide.From the inside, 2013 Skoda Rapid is very roomy and will have best in class space. With a length of 4438mm of length, 1706mm of width, a height of 1461mm and a wheelbase of 2602mm, what else can one expect. The boot will have a capacity of 550 litres. Again, three trims will be available and depending on the trim, the features like heated seats, air-conditioning, infotainment system and GPS navigation etc. would be made available.
